Once we get there, we will have short break to stretch and then take a boat ride for less than 10 minutes to get to the other side because the river is very deep and wide.
It is about 45-minute of moderate hike from the boat ride to the first pool climbing over boulders and slippery pristine white rocks and walking along palm groves between narrow canyon walls. The best part about visiting Wadi Shab is swimming in the perfectly warm clear blue pools which make it a wonderful experience and if you are a confident swimmer then you can swim to the very end of the pools and have the chance to get to the submerged cave with waterfalls. However, one can enjoy walking through right on top of the clear blue/green water and take photos for the best views ever.
Next you will have a short visit to Wadi Tiwi and will stop for lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch you will travel through the mountainous landscape arriving at the dramatic Bimmah Sinkhole. Bimmah Sinkhole is a collapsed limestone due to erosion from the water beneath forming a natural depression of 50 meters to 70 meters wide and 20 meters deep. It’s filled with a mixture of fresh and sea water, giving a beautiful emerald colored water. Swimming in Bimmah Sinkhole is a unique experience, however for those who won’t to swim just take a walk all around the rim for best photos and then descend down slowly put your feet it and enjoy a spa session with schools of fish massaging your foot. At the end of the day once every one has satisfied with this adventure we drive back to Muscat.
